Context
KOINΩNOS is a service club in Athens whose mission is to support the homeless community while preserving dignity. I served as President for three years, overseeing membership, partnerships, and ground-level operations.
Responsibilities
- Oversaw 46 members and coordinated the initiatives and events that funded the club's operations.
- Partnered with the Greek NGO Plysion to deliver essentials through weekly food drives in downtown Athens.
- Secured corporate food support from Barilla, Gruppo Espresso, and Sklavenitis (one of the largest supermarket chains in Greece).
- Ran awareness campaigns to improve how people in Athens see and engage with the homeless community.
What I'm taking forward
Three years of running KOINΩNOS taught me how to advocate for an initiative rather than pitch a product, and how operational logistics translate into impact at street level. The foundation for the leadership and partnership work that came after.
